Medasil Instrument Covers are seamless lengths of silicone elastomer designed to fit over the jaws of surgical instruments to provide a surface that maintains grip and is cushioned to prevent trauma to the vessels. The ‘D-shaped’ cross-section, to further dissipate pressure.  

The Atraumatic Forceps Sleeves are designed with a filleted internal diameter and ridged base.  

The Clamp Covers are designed with a rectangular internal diameter and a smooth base.  

Available in four distinct colours and a range of sizes.  

The devices are supplied sterile or non-sterile, contains Barium Sulphate (BaSO₄) which may aid visibility under X-ray and are intended for single use only. 

 

Medasil Instrument Covers are intended to be used to cover the jaws of surgical instruments which are used to clamp or occlude blood vessels during surgical procedures, providing a flexible surface that maintains grip and is cushioned to prevent trauma to vessels or other soft structures.  

The device is intended for transient use (continuous use for less than 60 minutes).
