Silicone Nasal Septal Button
Description
The Medasil Silicone Nasal Septal Button is a single-piece moulding, of two parallel discs connected by a central post. Made from a silicone elastomer which is biocompatible, latex and phthalate-free. The Nasal Septal Button is passed between the perforated nasal septum; the flanges extend beyond the perforation, and provides a simple means of physically occluding and retaining the device. The device is supplied sterile for single use.
Intended Use:
Medasil Silicone Nasal Septal Button is intended to be used for temporary non-surgical closure of nasal septal perforations in the adult and paediatric patient population with nasal septal perforations. The device must be fitted and removed by a trained Healthcare Professional (HCP) in a healthcare setting. Each device is intended to be used for up to 29 days.
Indications for Use
Pathological conditions for which the Medasil Silicone Nasal Septal Button is indicated include, but are not limited to:
Management of symptoms associated with nasal septal perforations, including:
Whistling during inspiration, epistaxis pain or discomfort.
Nasal crusting around the margin of the perforation.
Nasal airflow difficulties and noisy breathing.
